At _J_3D_prints_, we go beyond regular designing and printing. We are currently building our very first custom-designed 3D printer with passion and engineering precision: project TC1. Take a look around and explore the development journey behind our proprietary technology.

A new approach to 3D printing

The TC1 is our first custom engineered and built 3D printer. The project was born from our goal to create a machine where extreme performance, technical innovation, and intentional design seamlessly meet.

From the rigid mechanical frame to custom-milled parts: the TC1 is being meticulously crafted from the ground up. One of its standout innovations is the 4-tool toolchanger system, enabling multi-material and high-efficiency tool switching in real time.

Designed from the ground up

The TC1 is built around a heavy-duty 3030 aluminum profile frame and incorporates components engineered specifically for this architecture. Throughout fabrication, our CAD models are continuously refined through hands-on testing and seamless hardware integration.

More than a prototype

Development extends far beyond mechanics. Custom electronics, motion firmware, active chamber climate control, and smart peripheral subsystems form the core of the TC1.

The TC1 is actively in development. Final build specifications and capabilities will be released as iterative testing proceeds in Whittier, California.

Extraordinary

What sets the TC1 apart?

The TC1 is built with the goal to redefine the boundaries of desktop additive manufacturing.

A primary highlight is our advanced active heated chamber control system, engineered to master temperature management and print high-performance engineering filaments without warping.

Powered by Klipper firmware, the architecture embraces an open-source spirit alongside complete modularity. Despite its extensive capabilities, the TC1 maintains a clean and compact footprint.

Our goal is to combine enterprise capabilities, refined mechanics, and a compact design into a single unique platform.

For now, the TC1 is an exclusive in-house engineering initiative at _J_3D_prints_.

What is next?

This is just the start. In upcoming logs, we will dive deeper into frame stability, toolchanger calibration, circuit schematics, and technical benchmarks for the TC1.
